I am hiring a  R&D Engineer II  for balloon catheter project based in Limerick. The ideal candidates will be able to work fully on-site and have experience in the design of POBA/PTA or speciality balloon catheters.

Responsibilities:

• Involved in testing product and developing test methods. Working with the lab personnel on tasks related this this project.
• Will be involved in various root cause investigations on design/process features and testing issues.
• Drafting TST documents and other engineering documents to support the project.
• Involved in prototype manufacture to prove out concepts or share ideas/concepts.
• Brainstorming ideas and concepts with the project team.
• Will be involved in various support roles on packaging, DHF, testing and process development.

Requirements:

• Design level engineer required
• Has a good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and is hands on.
• Experience in physical testing of mechanical systems/components and failure analysis to determine the root cause of failures.
• Risk focused thinking and problem solving skills, has an understanding of the DFMEA risk approach. Has a right first-time philosophy.
• Logical thinker.
• Able to take direction and willing to learn and share knowledge.
• High level of documentation skills and report drafting. Clear, factual, and effective oral and written communication.
• Able to work along on a task and bring to a results focused completion, as well as working with the bigger team.
• Able to take feedback constructively.
