I’m partnering with a high-growth SaaS company to find a seasoned Head of Operations & DevOps to lead mission-critical cloud infrastructure, elevate operational performance, and scale a world-class platform. This is a hybrid role, with just one day a week onsite in Dublin city.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Cloud Operations: Ensure 24/7 uptime, scalability, and performance of AWS-hosted platforms.
- Security & Compliance: Champion cloud security best practices and ensure regulatory compliance (SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Infrastructure Optimisation: Manage CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog), and drive cost efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Mentor DevOps and Ops engineers; build a collaborative, high-performance team.
- Process Ownership: Define and maintain SLAs, incident response, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with AWS, auditors, and internal departments including Commercial, Product, Engineering, and Support.
- Sales Support: Contribute to pre-sales efforts (RFIs, RFPs) alongside our commercial team.
- FinOps: Continuously optimise and control cloud spend through strategic planning and reviews.
Requirements:
- Technical Depth: 8+ years in cloud operations (AWS preferred) with advanced DevOps skills (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD).
- Expertise in networking, security, infrastructure (EC2, RDS, Lambda), monitoring (OpenSearch, Prometheus, Kibana).
- Leadership Experience: 5+ years leading Ops or DevOps teams.
- Proven skills in crisis and incident management (RCA, post-mortems).
- Able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient with tools and methodologies like JIRA, ITIL, Agile/Scrum.
