As Finance Manager, you’ll take on a broad and impactful role at the core of the company’s operations—supporting strategic growth, financial governance, and operational excellence.
This is a hands-on role ideal for a qualified accountant with strong post-qualification experience who is looking to expand their leadership capabilities and make a real difference in a values-led, high-performance environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Core Finance Operations – Manage purchase orders, accounts payable, expenses, liquidity, cash flow, and the month-end close process.
- Drive Process & Systems Improvement – Lead upgrades of finance systems, implement policies and controls, and enhance process efficiency as the business scales.
- Lead Financial Reporting – Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts and investor packs to meet internal and external reporting deadlines.
- Ensure Compliance & Governance – Oversee audits, statutory accounts, VAT, corporation tax, R&D tax credits, and liaise with auditors and tax advisors.
- Budgeting & Forecasting – Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, working closely with the VP Finance and departmental leads.
- Strategic Business Partnering – Provide performance analysis and commercial insights to support informed decision-making across the business.
- Support Corporate Projects – Contribute to financing transactions, investor due diligence, and corporate structuring or M&A integration initiatives.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Approximately 2–4 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong Excel.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Prior experience in MedTech, healthcare, technology or growth-stage companies is not required but advantageous.
