Celebrating a Decade of Success: Mason Alexander's Summer Party and 10-Year Anniversary Bash
It was a day and night filled with laughter, cheers, and a shared sense of accomplishment as we celebrated not just one, but two incredible milestones at Mason Alexander. Our company's 10-year anniversary and our much-anticipated summer party came together in a magnificent fusion of joy and camaraderie.
A Culinary Adventure at Taste Dublin
The day kicked off at the remarkable Taste of Dublin in the Iveagh Gardens, where our taste buds embarked on an extraordinary culinary adventure. The air was filled with tantalising aromas as we savoured a delectable array of dishes. From Italian to Middle Eastern and Irish to Indian, Taste had a cuisine to suite everyone! The clinking of glasses resonated throughout the venue, as we raised our champagne-filled flutes in celebration of a decade of hard work, dedication, and success.

The festivities continued at The Bridge 1859, located in the heart of Ballsbridge, where the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and anticipation. Laughter echoed through the air as we all came together to revel in the moment. With each toast, we acknowledged the achievements, challenges overcome, and the unbreakable bond that has propelled our company forward.
It was a time to reflect on the memories, milestones, and the remarkable growth we have experienced together. This event was not just a celebration; it was a testament to our resilience, unity, and the remarkable journey we have embarked upon as a team at Mason Alexander.
Our accomplishments of the past ten years serve as a springboard to even greater heights. Here's to the memories created, the friendships strengthened, and the successes yet to come!

Great news from TechIreland! Irish tech start-ups raised nearly €400M in Q2 2024, the best performance since Q2 2022. This is a huge jump from €169M in Q1 and surpasses the €323M raised in the same period last year. In total, €552M was secured by 147 companies in the first half of 2024 🚀
Key highlights:
💡 Series B rounds saw €275M raised by six companies.
💡 Record-breaking growth rounds with major deals for SyOx Therapeutics (€70.3M), Accounts IQ (€60M), GridBeyond (€52 million), Tines (€45 million), and XOcean (€45 million).
💡 Dublin-based companies led with 67% of the total funding.

Ireland's Pharma and Medical industry has bounced back in recent months with a 21% increase in exports this May compared to last year. Major players like Boston Scientific and Thermo Fisher are raising their profit forecasts, due to the growing demand for heart devices and non-urgent surgeries that were postponed during the pandemic 👩🏻⚕️
Boston Scientific announced last year that it would create 400 new jobs in Clonmel and invest €80m in expanding its manufacturing and R&D capabilities. Meanwhile, Thermo Fisher Scientific reported better-than-expected Q2 profits, bolstered by demand for its clinical trial tools and services 📈

Great news for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, the largest employer in East Clare and among the largest in the county, with their announcement of a €10 million investment that underscores their commitment to innovation and growth in the region 👏🏼
The investment will enhance Beckman Coulter’s world-class diagnostics production with the addition of two new fully automated reagent filling lines and upgrades to the site’s infrastructure, boosting both efficiency and capacity.
Beckman Coulter’s economic contribution is highly significant to East Clare and the wider Mid-West region thanks to the 550 plus jobs it provides in its facility. Employment at the site is anticipated to rise to 600 jobs, with headcount figures having almost doubled since 2018 📈

Very positive news for the Pharma sector as the value of Irish exports has grown from €6.2 billion to €72.4 billion in the first four months of 2024. CSO figures show exports of medical and pharmaceutical products increased by €3.5 billion (66%) to €8.8 billion in April alone 📈💊
This rebound in Pharma activity is very encouraging given the concerns of a slump last year due to a collapse in demand for Covid vaccines and medications – triggering a downturn in Irish Pharma exports.
This recovery signifies a notable turnaround, demonstrating the resilience and adaptability of the Irish pharmaceutical industry 👏🏼
