The Role at a Glance
- Role: Tech Lead (Backend) / Platform Engineering Lead
- Salary: €92,000 - €110,000 + Equity Options

Responsibilities:
As the Platform Engineering Lead, you will report directly to the Director of Engineering and act as the technical authority for our backend team.
- Own the Platform: Architect, secure, and scale our GCP infrastructure to seamlessly handle 100% YoY user growth.
- Lead & Mentor: Manage a high-performing, lean team of 3–5 senior and mid-level backend engineers, fostering a culture of high velocity and uncompromising quality.
- Drive Platform Efficiency: Act as the primary steward for cost-optimisation and resource management as we scale globally.
- Integrate & Innovate: Design resilient data patterns and deep integrations with external partner APIs.
- Pioneer AI Workflows: Act as the internal champion for driving agentic AI workflows forward across the team.
- Collaborate closely with leadership: Partner with our executive team to align technical execution with business strategy.
Requirements:

- A Proven Technical Leader: You have experience as a Lead or Senior Engineer, ideally navigating the scaling pains of a fast-growing startup.
- GCP & Infrastructure Expert: You have deep hands-on experience with cloud platforms and Infrastructure-as-Code ( Terraform).
- Backend Specialist: You have expert-level knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript.
