Chief Financial Officer (CFO) | Ireland & UK | Dublin Based
A leading international provider infrastructure solutions is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead finance operations across Ireland and the UK.
This is a high-impact leadership role combining strategic finance, operational control, and business partnering within a growing European organisation. Based in Dublin, the CFO will act as a key advisor to the Managing Director, driving financial performance, governance, and sustainable growth.
This position offers the chance to play a critical role in shaping financial strategy and operational performance. You will lead the finance function while working closely with senior leadership and European finance teams to ensure strong reporting, compliance, and business insight. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with operational execution.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to the Managing Director and leadership team.
- Lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, and forecasting across Ireland and the UK.
- Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis.
- Monitor business performance against budgets and identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Drive industrial cost control, margin improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Provide financial insight to support investment decisions, CAPEX, and project evaluations.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and HR to align financial and business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Irish and UK statutory requirements, international accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Strengthen internal controls, governance, and financial processes.
- Manage cash flow, working capital optimisation, and treasury activities.
- Oversee tax compliance, intercompany transactions, and relationships with banks and auditors.
- Lead and develop the finance, accounting, and payroll teams across both locations.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- Strong background in financial planning, controlling, and operational finance.
- Experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or infrastructure environments highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of Irish and UK financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English required along with a valid visa.
