Our client is a major player in the aviation sector. They are seeking a Treasury Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. Reporting to Financial Reporting Team Lead the successful candidate will be responsible for  reviewing and ensuring accuracy of all Treasury Accounting (FX, Fuel, hedging, CAPEX hedging, effectiveness etc.) within the company.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for treasury reporting and disclosures as part of quarterly group reporting
  • Take lead responsibility for technical accounting guidance to other areas of finance and treasury 
  • Prepare technical accounting memos for any judgemental accounting topics 

  • Provide Treasury related disclosures and narratives for annual financial statements, ensuring accurate and compliant disclosures within the audited financial statements

  • Review a number of P&L/Balance sheet accounts as prepared by Treasury Back Office, ensuring accuracy of reporting.

  • Responsible directly for a number of cost lines (including non-operating costs

  • Ensure financial integrity of forecasts (budgets, re-forecasts) relating to relevant costs and proper recording in financial systems

Requirements:

  • Recently qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent 

  • Trained in a top tier accounting firm or industry

  • Background in financial services audit would be a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Full Irish work permit

Package: 

  • Base salary of circa €60k per annum
