Our client, a health services innovation company are looking for Senior accountant to join their team. This is an initial 12 month contract with the view to permanent. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a multinational complex cost structures and multi-currency. You will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports.

Responsibilities.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports.
  • Reconcile, analyse and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close.
  • Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles.
  • Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation.
  • Analyse and prepare management financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position.
  • Assist with or lead the month end and quarterly end close process for assigned business segments or groups
  • Performs work in a self-directed manner and works with less structured, more complex issues.
  • Serve as a resource to others.
  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements.
  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems.
  • Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant or Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance
  • Extensive post qualified experience in management and/or statutory accounting
  • Proven accounting experience within a multinational and/or multi-currency organisational environment
  • High proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Attention to detail.
Advantageous
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials is an advantage
  • Experience with R&D Grant and Tax credit submissions
  • Experience in forecast, planning and analysis
  • Experience with business and system integration
  • Experience with Power Query and / or PowerBI.
