Want to join an Irish Fintech company that is experiencing rapid growth? Our client is looking for a Sales Director who can create a leading business development strategy and translate it into excellent sales plans that are delivered through a high performing team. This business is a major disrupter and has significant momentum, for the right person you have everything you need to be successful and have genuine impact on an already very successful Irish business.

You will be managing an existing and growing team and therefore one of the key tasks is to create strong team cohesion, addressing underperformance quickly and effectively and create the capabilities for outstanding performance. Business development and team leadership skills will be critical to the success of this role. In addition, as the SME Finance sale requires excellent relationship building skills to build advisor-level trust.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a candidate who is a self-starter and who will:

  • Lead the business development strategy and sales plan.
  • Lead the sales team in developing their individual sales plans, monitoring performance and creating excellent behaviours. Managing the team to high performance standards and behaviours is critical.
  • Develop excellent internal relationships with critical internal functions particularly credit and marketing.
  • Have the resilience to address the fact that there will be business opportunities that will be rejected due to credit assessment, yet build the relationship with customers to ensure they remain loyal.
  • Move at speed to identify and address the needs of every single customer opportunity.
  • Engage with key SME professional bodies and other business influencers.
  • Reporting directly to the CEO and as a member of the Senior Management Team you will be expected to Input clear feedback on improvements to the business model such as optimising the go to market strategy, identifying new business development opportunities, changing resource allocation and proposing new product offerings.
