Our client, a top tier law firm is seeking to hire a solicitor to join its’ market leading technology and projects team. The role is ideal for solicitor coming from a property or banking background but looking for a change in direction.



Key Responsibilities


  • Review and assist in the management of large data and document review projects across various legal practice areas, reviewing and managing several projects simultaneously
  • Perform a detailed quality control review of work completed by junior team members with significant analysis of quality of output across all review teams.  Deliver clear, professional and supportive feedback to reviewers in order to maintain quality standards at all times, reporting to the group Management and matter Partners/Associate as necessary
  • Carry out remediation work in relation to portfolios of assets, specifically in the area of real estate and banking/secured lending and to deal with the remediation of issues arising on loans, title and security. This may include engaging with clients’ service providers and with 3rd party law firms and lending institutions
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the group team working on a project and assign and delegate tasks amongst the team, where appropriate
  • Liaise with clients and prepare progress reports on a regular basis
  • Work in conjunction with group Management to ensure that all timelines on a project are adhered to, identifying resource requirements, estimating timelines and costs and providing appropriate support in these areas 
  • Determine and assess the need for additional resources/3rd party support and assist with the necessary recruitment and training during the project cycle
  • Communicate on a regular basis with group Management and the necessary partners/ associates and 3rd parties and keep all appraised of progress and issues arising
  • Assist the group Management in ensuring that all protocols, processes and procedures identified as applicable to projects are adhered to



Key Skills and qualifications


  • Qualified solicitor with experience of working in a legal practice, ideally in a mid to large law firm or as part of an in- house legal team, preferably in the financial services or property sector
  • Specialist legal knowledge and experience in real estate or in banking & secured lending    essential
  • Excellent project management skills including the ability to co-ordinate, review and report on large amounts of data
  • Excellent operational planning, organizational /work management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
