Fund Accountant (Fully Qualified)

Mason Alexander are delighted to be working with a highly respected global asset management firm in the hiring of a Fund Accountant – Fully Qualified for its established Dublin-based team. The company is continuing to grow in Ireland and this role will see the successful individual play an important role in the reviewing and analysis of a range of investment funds. This is an initial 1-Year Contract opportunity with high likelihood for permanence upon completion.


Salary: €60,000 - €65,000
Working pattern: Hybrid
Location: Dublin 2
 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review month-end and reporting period internal fund accounting analyses and calculations to support the NAV close process
  • Ensure accuracy of accounting records for securities positions, receivable and payable accruals as well as miscellaneous journal entries
  • Identify exceptions and issues affecting accounting records and drive resolution through timely communication and correction
  • Reconcile internal records to firm’s fund administrator (GenAex vs Tableau)
  • Provide administration support for the fund accounting team
  • Provide support for annual IFRS audits / compliance reviews and review of the IFRS financial statements
  • Preparation of draw notices and principal repayments of profit participating notes / loans
  • Assist with the review of the quarterly Central Bank returns and CCR reporting

 

Experience

This role would be ideal for a Fully-Qualified Fund Accounting or Financial Services Audit professional who has gone through practice and is keen to progress into a hedge fund / asset management environment.

 

  • Fully-Qualified Accountant, ACA is preferable
  • Recent, similar experience in fast-paced financial services environment e.g. Practice environment such as Big 4
  • Geneva, GWI experience
  • Strong general IT skills, particularly Excel competency
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance professionals
