Financial Business Analyst

 

Exciting opportunity available for an ambitious part or newly qualified Accountant to join a dynamic and diverse Global brand within the advertising and media sector, based in Dublin 4. This is a fast paced and demanding role ideally suited to an Excel expert and driven accountant who is looking to join a progressive organisation.

 

  • Consolidate and analyse financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
  • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
  • Identify trends and work closely with Senior Business Partner to make recommendations
  • Track and determine financial status by analysing actual results in comparison with forecasts
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Consult with Senior Busines Partner and wider Finance team to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
  • Assist with implementing and roll out of new systems and software
  • Assist with month end and audit processes as required

Requirements

  • Part or newly qualified accountant with  experience working as a Finance Analyst within industry
  • Advanced or expert level user of Excel, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
  • Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and manipulating data to create  comprehensive and detailed reports
  • BS degree in Finance, Economics or related field
