An Irish energy trading company currently trading in the European power markets. They are headquartered in Dublin and looking to grow their team as the business expands.

Seeking to hire a Finance Assistant to join their Finance team. This position will offer great insight and exposure to the business as it is a small team. You will be responsible for the day to day functions within Finance. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience in a finance environment and be looking to complete their ACCAs over the next 2 years.. This role would suit an accounting technician/part-qualified accountant who would like to take an active role in a commercial environment and be part of a growing dynamic team. The candidate will need to possess excellent organisational capabilities with the ability to manage their own workload as required while displaying a flexible approach to their work.

Requirements:

  • Customer and supplier invoicing and payments
  • Management of daily trading reports
  • Support the month end process and assist with the production of monthly management accounts
  • Prepare bank account reconciliations
  • Assist with cashflow forecasts
  • Support in the audit process
  • Prepare and file returns on ROS
  • General office management

Requirements:

  • Relevant 3rd Level Qualification
  • In the process of obtaining ACCA qualification or equivalent
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a finance position
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel essential
  • Experience working with databases an advantage
  • Ability to meet weekly, monthly and quarterly deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills
  • A flexible mindset is important as the role will involve ad hoc projects
  • Excellent planning capabilities with a desire for continuous improvement
