Mason Alexander are proud to announce the appointment of Steve Bell as Managing Partner (Technology). We sat down with Steve to hear about his background and his plans for the future.

Hi Steve, first off, could you introduce yourself and your role in Mason Alexander?

My name is Steve Bell and I am the Managing Partner at MA tech; a new leadership workforce solutions firm for the technology industry.

Could you briefly describe your career background?

I have over 18 years of experience in the tech recruitment industry, having started my career in the highly competitive London market before moving to Ireland 15 years ago. I have had the opportunity to operate at the highest levels as a recruiter, manager and director in Ireland, UK and across international markets.

What attracted you to work at Mason Alexander?

In one word, ambition. Both my ambition to disrupt and re-shape the future of tech recruitment and tech workforce solutions, and the aspirations of Mason Alexander to do the same and be the catalyst for change across recruitment in general. The market is crying out for change, and I want to lead the shift not follow it.

What is the tech job market like at the moment?

The market is extremely competitive with many challenges. Over 90% of Irish based tech companies are hiring, and most are recruiting for a similar skill set and competence, so our customers are investing significantly in the key areas that will help them attract the best people.

Staff retention is a major headache for most organisations. A workplace that offers diversity, culture, flexibility, an enriched working environment, and competitive pay and benefits are no longer “nice to have”, they are essential. This pressure is driving up costs and increasing the need for new services and solution deliverables from recruitment partners.

What does the future hold for MA Tech?

The MA Tech team is obsessively customer focused and driven by data, helping us target key strategic disciplines that solve the problems our client’s face now and in the future to ensure they grow and are successful.
