There is an opportunity for an Associate to join the recently established Energy, Climate Change and Infrastructure Team supporting a key growth area within this financial institution and the Irish economy.

Your next challenge

  • Writing Credit Papers to gain sanction for new business for consideration by relevant Credit Authority as well as for annual review's and transaction amendments. 
  • Managing an existing portfolio of credit exposures within the Credit Policy of the Bank.
  • Financial Modelling of Project Finance Transactions 
  • Review of due diligence reports and legal documentation associated with transactions
  • Supporting the negotiation process with Project Sponsors to provide debt on terms satisfactory to the Bank and within Credit Policy. 
  • Produce and maintain Management Information to ensure status of cases is tracked.
  • Manage supports to ensure that all compliance and administration obligations are met.
  • Building a network of contacts with key intermediaries in the sector – solicitors, corporate finance houses and due diligence providers

What you’ll need

  • 3rd level qualification or equivalent in Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Engineering. 
  • Excellent knowledge of excel (experience of stress testing, manipulating financial models is desirable)
  • Previous experience in the financial industry, Credit analysis experience. Experience in negotiating large commercial contracts is desirable. 
  • Knowledge of and a keen interest in the Renewable Energy Industry / Project Finance a distinct advantage
  • Management of a portfolio of credit exposures and or bank customers.
