EU Competition Lawyer

Top tier international firm currently has an opportunity for a Lawyer to join our EU Competition group.

The leading EU Competition and Regulatory Law group provide expert legal advice on all aspects of EU Law, Competition and Regulatory matters, including merger control, behavioural issues including cartel and dominance cases, public procurement law, state aid rules, competition law audits and compliance, competition litigation and sectoral regulation. The group advise on regulated sectors, such as telecommunications, broadcasting, postal services, energy and transport (including aviation, bus and rail).

In this role you will be providing high end advisory across:

• Merger control under the EU Merger Regulation and the Competition Acts, 2002-2014

• Cartel and dominance investigations

• State aid rules

• Public procurement law

• EU and Irish competition rules and compliance

• Sectoral regulation, including telecommunications, broadcasting, postal services, energy and transport

  Requirements and Qualifications

• A qualified solicitor in a common-law jurisdiction

• Excellent academic record

• Experience working in an EU competition and regulatory role

• Proactive and self-starting individual

• A team player

• Ability to display good commercial awareness

• Excellent client facing skills
